Meet Starburst and Jill, CVAS pets of the week

Meet Starburst and Jill, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. Starburst and Jill are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Starburst and Jill would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to Animal Shelter to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into theIr home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoption at the shelter.

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

The staff’s first priority is the animals in their care. Staffers and volunteers working at the shelter have to stay healthy to care for the animals properly.

So even though Franklin County is now in the green phase of the COVID-19 mitigation, CVAS is still only allowing the public to visit the shelter by appointment.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

Starburst loves to chirp and purr

Meet Starburst and Jill

Starburst came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about her other than she is a super sweet cat! She loves to chirp and purr and rub your hand for attention. We think she’s about 4 years old and would love to find her forever home soon!

Who can resist sweet little Jill

Meet Starburst and Jill

Sweet little Jill came into the shelter this January as a pretty small kitten. She was a little unsure at first about people, but really started to warm up. Because she’s so shy, she’s in our shelter manager’s office to get some socialization. But look at that face! Who can resist? She’s been coming out of her shell in the back offices, and is getting much more acclimated to shelter life. If you’d like to see if Jill is the one for you, please ask to see her. You’ll be glad you did!
