Adoptions by appointment

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

The staff’s first priority is the animals in their care. Staffers and volunteers working at the shelter have to stay healthy to care for the animals properly.

So even though Franklin County is now in the green phase of the COVID-19 mitigation, CVAS is still only allowing the public to visit the shelter by appointment.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

So now meet the super sweet Bitsy and Faith!

Bitsy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a 7-year-old gray-and-cream colored girl who is super sweet.

She’s not terribly fond of being picked up, but boy does she love a good chin scratch! Do you have the right home for Bitsy?

Adorable brown tabby, a little shy but quite the love bug!

Meet Bitsy and Faith

Faith came into us with her siblings when they were all about three weeks old. She is now almost 3 months old and is still with us.

Faith and her siblings were bottle fed and all her siblings found homes, but Faith is still with us.

She lives in our executive director’s office and this adorable brown tabby can be a little shy when she first meets people, but once she knows you, she is quite a lovebug. Could you help Faith out?
