CVAS Pets of the Week: Meet the amazing Frito and Steve
Meet the amazing Frito and Steve, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. Frito and Steve are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Frito and Steve would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to this Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.
CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.
Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.
Adoptions by appointment
Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.
The staff’s first priority is the animals in their care. Staffers and volunteers working at the shelter have to stay healthy to care for the animals properly.
So even though Franklin County is now in the green phase of the COVID-19 mitigation, CVAS is still only allowing the public to visit the shelter by appointment.
Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.
So now meet the amazing Frito and Steve!
Show this orange and white boy what life is all about!
Frito was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about him and when he first came in, he was in pretty rough shape.
He had a severe case of ear mites to the point where he had the back of his neck and ears scratched open. We got him treated immediately and he’s doing much better now.
Frito also had an injury to his lower eye lid and sclera of his eye, which was checked by a vet and believed to be just cosmetic at this point.
This 4-year-old orange-and-white boy has been through a lot in his life. Could you be the one to show him what the good life is all about?
A cute boy who knows how to sit and beg for treats!
Steve came into the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him.
He’s a 3-year-old terrier mix who loves attention and playing with toys and he knows how to sit and will beg for treats (who doesn’t?).
He can be a little possessive of his toys and may do best as the only pet in the home.
Steve may be too much for smaller children, so an age restriction might apply. Be sure to check with shelter staff about that.
We know there’s someone out there for Steve. Could it be you?
