The Tuscarora Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will be hosting its second food truck event on Sunday, April 30th from 11 AM to 4 PM at the vacant lot beside of Leidy’s Custom Woodworking (11427 Church Hill Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236). The Mercersburg Spring Food Truck Festival is the second food truck event that TACC has held; the next one taking place on Sunday, July 16th. The Chamber extends thanks to Community State Bank for partnering with them to sponsor the Spring event.
TACC Executive Director Chris Ardinger explains “last July, we held our first food truck event, not really knowing how it would go. It was a huge success, with 12 food vendors, children’s activities, entertainment and over 3,000 attendees. Due to its success, we decided to host more events, and at this point, plan to host them quarterly”.
Next Sunday, the event bolsters 18 food trucks with just about any kind of cuisine you can imagine. In addition to the wide variety of food available, there will be a DJ on site, moonbounce, pony rides and a petting zoo from Peckin’ Thyme Farm & Animal Rescue for the kids. For the adults, Cold Spring Hollow Distillery will be setup, as well as an axe throwing trailer.
