Mackenzie Shepherd, a registered nurse at the Meritus Health Emergency Department, has been named Trauma Nurse of the Year by the Maryland Trauma Center Network.
Shepherd works closely with CRS providers in the emergency department and is also engaged to Lieutenant Muller, a member of the CRS team.
Meritus Health announced the recognition on Friday.
