Meritus Neurosurgery adds physician

Meritus Health is pleased to welcome a new neurosurgeon to Meritus Neurosurgery.

X. Sean Xin, D.O., recently started at the practice in Suite 147 of the Robinwood Professional Center on the Meritus campus.

He will join Chikezie Eseonu, M.D., Alina Huneke, CRNP, and Kirti Venkatesh, PA-C, at the practice.

Among other things, he will be diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and nerves. He subspecializes in neurosurgical oncology.

Dr. Xin earned his medical degree in osteopathic medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He did an internship at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, California, and his residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He also did a fellowship at City of Hope Surgical Neuro-Oncology in Duarte, California.

He is certified in neurosurgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurological Surgery.

“The most rewarding aspect of neurosurgery is to be able to a make dramatic difference in relieving the suffering of patients, whether to restore neurologic function or to relief debilitating pain through surgery,” Dr. Xin said. “I understand the fear and anxiety when a patient is confronted with the possible need for surgery, and I take a holistic approach and partner with patients so they can make the best treatment decision, in alignment with their goals of care and values.”

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
