Mont Alto Cross Country Runs at Hood Blazers Twilight Meet

FREDRICK (Sept. 15, 2019) — The Penn State Mont Alto cross country team ran at the Hood Blazers Invitational on Friday evening.

Sophomore Madison Ford (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) finished 63rd with a time of 24:11.9 in the women’s 5000-meter. 

The top finisher for the Mont Alto men was Joel Minicozzi (Hedgesville, W.Va. / Hedgesville) who crossed the finish line 70th at 19:29.7. Right behind him was Simon Egolf (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) who ran a 20:34.9 for an 82nd place finish. Andrew Walker (Carlisle, Pa. / Big Spring) ran a 22:23.1 and Jacob Geesaman (Waynesboro, Pa. / Wayneboro Area) finished with a 25:10.4.

Mont Alto returns to action in it’s Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 with the women’s race beginning at 11 a.m.

Franklin County Schedules Mosquito Spray For Hamilton Township

Residential and recreational areas in Hamilton Township will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes beginning around sunset on Sept. 8.  Areas to be sprayed include but are not limited to: Sollenberger Road, Johnson Road, Leedy Drive, Holly Lane, Hamilton
