Born November 1, 1947, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Ruth E. (Halstead) Poper, and the last of her immediate family.

She graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School with the class of 1965.

She married Robert L. Everts November 20, 1965 in Hagerstown, MD.

Neva was employed as a teller at Chev Chase Bank, Hagerstown, MD for about 11 years. Prior to that she worked for about 15 years at Bon Ton and Eyerly’s Department Store at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD. She also at one time, worked at Corning Glass in Greencastle.

Neva enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, scrabble, deer hunting, and playing bingo. She was a wonderful mother, with a lovingly ornery side of her personality, that will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda E. Hoffman, Sonya D. Reigh, and Doris Zimmerman, and her half-brothers, Roger Dawson and Jay Dawson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, September 22, 2022, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating.
