A nursing scholarship has opened up and is available for applications. The Franklin County Commissioners announced the program yesterday. They are encouraging local high school seniors to apply if they are enrolling in an accredited program.

Students must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA, participate in both extracurricular and community service activities, and demonstrate a financial need for the scholarship.
Deadline and applications
Scholarship instructions and applications are available from area high school guidance counselors as well as online at www.franklincountypa.gov. All applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. March 24.
