NWS Warns of Severe Thunderstorms Later Today

FRANKLIN COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather warning for the county and surrounding communities this afternoon.

Scattered severe thunderstorms with damaging winds of 60 miles an hour or greater and large hail exceeding 1 inch in diameter are possible this afternoon and evening, according to NWS.

An isolated tornado is also possible.
