John E. Lawrence, 48, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on October 8, 1971, in Gettysburg, a son of Floyd “Junior” and Nancy (Forsythe) Lawrence.

Most recently, John worked as a forklift driver for Ryder.  He had also operated a forklift at Proctor & Gamble and worked at Schreiber Foods as well.

John liked to watch just about any kind of movie and loved to spend time gaming with his son, Hayden.  He also enjoyed playing pool, socializing with his friends and listening to music.  John was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

John is survived by his parents, Floyd “Junior” and Nancy Lawrence of Cumberland, MD; his son, Hayden Lawrence of Warfordsburg; his ex-wife with whom he remained friends, Heather Norris of Warfordsburg; his brother, David Lawrence of Cumberland, MD; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.  Pastor Jeremy Blair will officiate.  Interment will be private.  Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
