Patterson: Franklin County Democratic Committee Meeting

Press Release from John Patterson

I would like to thank Franklin County Democrats on behalf of Sheri Morgan and myself for our victory in the recent primary election. We look forward to representing you and our Democratic values at State Committee meetings. I would also like to thank Trish and Dave Cordell for their last 6+ years of service in those positions. Due to their work, the Franklin County Democratic Committee is a better organization, and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Moving forward, I am inviting all Franklin County Democrats to our upcoming County Committee organizational meeting on Wednesday, June 8 at 7 pm, on the 3rd floor of the Coyle Free Library in Chambersburg. You may be able to serve on the Committee as a representative of your precinct, should there be a vacancy. We are also looking for volunteers to serve on one of several subcommittees including Informational Technology, Voter Outreach, Recruiting, and Fundraising. There is a place for everyone, and there is no work, however slight or considerable, that the Democratic Party won’t appreciate from our voters.

One of my personal priorities this term is to see the LGBTQIA+ Nondiscrimination Ordinance reinstated in the borough of Chambersburg, and also established in all other boroughs of Franklin County. It will not happen by asking Republican-majority borough councils nicely; we need to elect Democrats.

In addition, I would like to see all county Democrats have at least one choice on a primary ballot for all offices. We can’t win an election without a candidate.

If you want to see John Fetterman and Josh Shapiro win in November, please join us.

If you are willing to lend a hand and can’t attend the meeting, please email us at pafcdems@gmail.com

Respectfully,

John Patterson
