Peggy Lee Aldrich
Peggy Lee Aldrich

She was born November 16, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Peggy was affectionally known as “Mama Peg” to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Aldrich.  Peggy is survived by her three children from an earlier marriage: Colleen Coleman, Vernon (Mark) Connor, and Sean Connor.  She was a grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Royans, and her brother, Larry Hause.

An active and dedicated member of her community, Peggy served as 2nd Vice-President of the AMVETS Auxiliary and was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, Vietnam Veterans, Saint Thomas Sportsman’s Club, and the Knights of Columbus.

Peggy was deeply attuned to nature and found great joy in flowers and herbs.  She was also known for sharing her healing talents generously across the Chambersburg area.  Outgoing, warm, and full of life, Peggy loved people deeply and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Peggy held a deep devotion to Saint Padre Pio, whose name she proudly chose as her Confirmation name.  She will be laid to rest following a Mass of Christian Burial.

Her captivating laugh, bright spirit, and enduring warmth will be cherished forever by her fiancé, James Barnes, along with her many dear friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to benefit veterans’ families and children in need, in care of the AMVETS Auxiliary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201, with Fr. Allan Wolfe officiating.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
