PennDOT Announces Pipe Replacement on Route 944 in Cumberland County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has scheduled a significant infrastructure project involving the replacement of a large pipe on Route 944 (Wertzville Road) in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County. The specific location of the work is situated between Peacock Drive and Deer Lane.

This maintenance initiative is set to commence on Monday, July 29, provided that the weather conditions remain favorable. During this period, a portion of Route 944 will be closed at the site of the pipe replacement. Motorists will be redirected through a designated detour involving Route 34, Route 11, and Rich Valley Road (Route 1009).

The project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete. Once the work is concluded, the detour will be lifted, and the roadway will be reopened to traffic.
