PennDOT Issues Snow Removal Guidelines for Driveways Along State Roads

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is reminding property owners whose driveways are adjacent to state-owned roadways to follow specific guidelines when removing snow.

PennDOT advises residents to shovel or plow snow to the right side of the driveway when facing the intersecting roadway. Snow piles at the entrance of the property should be eliminated whenever possible. Snow should not be pushed onto roadways at any time.
