The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is reminding bicyclists to take steps to remain visible to drivers.
PennDOT recommends wearing bright and retroreflective clothing because bicycles are smaller and more difficult for motorists to see than vehicles.
Pennsylvania law requires bicycles ridden between sunset and sunrise to have a front lamp and rear and side reflectors. The lights and reflectors must be visible from at least 500 feet.
