The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is inviting public input on its construction and maintenance services through an online survey, available until October 22. The survey can be accessed via the 2024 PennDOT Construction/Maintenance Customer Satisfaction Survey.

From January to August 2024, PennDOT reported significant construction efforts, including work on 303 bridges and improvements on more than 3,100 miles of roadways. This included the paving of 1,114 miles of roadway.

PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll emphasized the importance of the public’s feedback, stating, “This survey is one way the public can help us find successes, potential improvements, or educational opportunities.”

The survey features 24 questions, focusing on how the public receives PennDOT information, how well the department meets expectations, and experiences with reporting concerns. Additionally, it seeks feedback on the usage of the 511PA traveler information services.

Motorists can check real-time road conditions, traffic delays, and access more than 1,000 traffic cameras through www.511PA.com. The 511PA service is available 24/7 and can also be accessed via a smartphone app, by calling 5-1-1, or following regional alerts on X.
