The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is reminding motorists to avoid the blind spots surrounding heavy trucks.
Known as the “No-Zone,” these areas are directly in front of a truck, immediately behind it and along both sides where the truck driver or mirrors cannot be seen.
PennDOT advises motorists to limit their time in these blind spots and leave plenty of space around commercial vehicles. Remaining in a truck’s blind spot can increase the risk of a crash.
More information about commercial vehicle safety is available at pa.gov/DOTSafety.
