Pennwood Cyber Charter School, an online public charter school serving K-12 students across Pennsylvania, recently welcomed both new and returning students for the 2026-27 school year. The school offers a full-time online learning experience that combines rigorous academics with personalized support, helping students reach their full potential.
Serving more than 1,800 students statewide, Pennwood Cyber Charter School offers a comprehensive virtual school experience that motivates and encourages students, backed by a strong circle of support and cultivating a deep sense of belonging. The school’s team of experienced educators, specially trained in online instruction, establishes meaningful connections with students, helping them achieve their full potential and reach their goals. Parents and guardians are involved in the learning journey as their child’s Learning Coach, serving as mentors and guides throughout the school day.

Students are returning to school shortly after the release of the 2026 Parent Satisfaction Survey, an annual third-party survey that provides families with the opportunity to review their experience with Pennwood Cyber Charter School. According to the 2026 Parent Satisfaction Survey results:

All K-12 students at Pennwood Cyber Charter School benefit from an enhanced curriculum with a unique extended three-week Connections Term (“C-Term”), an additional session to the standard 180 school days. During C-Term, high school students on track for graduation can participate in college-preparatory courses and engage in Project-Based Learning initiatives, while K-8 students can explore career and college preparation aligned with the Pennsylvania Career Education and Work Standards.
In addition to core courses and electives, students are encouraged to participate in social engagements through clubs, virtual and in-person activities, and interactive pop-up events with their peers and teachers. With flexible scheduling, students can participate in the school’s many partnerships, including Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies, Coursera, Home Depot, Credly, CAPS and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
