Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Meet Kobe

Kobe
Kobe

Breed: Terrier Mix
Coat Length: Short
House Trained:
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Look at Kobe’s little smushable face! He came into the shelter as a stray and we think he’s about 2 years old and a terrier mix. Kobe still has a lot of puppy behavior, but he does know sit. He will need someone that can provide him regular exercise and play time. He has a bit of a short attention span, so patience in training will be required for this guy. Kobe may be too much for small children so an age restriction for kids may apply – please discuss this with shelter staff. Kobe would love to meet you and see if you are the one for him!

Meet Clancy

Clancy
Clancy

Breed: Coonhound
Coat Length: Short
House Trained:
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered
Preference: Home without other dogs, cats.

Clancy was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about his past. He is a true Coonhound in that he likes to howl and follows his nose. We think he’s about 11-months old and can jump fenced-in yards. Clancy is a love bug and enjoys having his ears rubbed. He does know sit, down and paw, but ONLY if you have a treat. Clancy is a big goofy guy so he may be too much for small children in the home if they are not used to larger energetic dogs. Because of his energy level, he is not in our adoption kennels and will require an approved application for a meet-and-greet. Clancy would love to get his second chance.

Meet Mistle Toe

Mistle Toe
Mistle Toe

Breed: Tortoiseshell-Tabby
Coat Length: Short
House Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Mistle Toe was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about her past. What we do know is that Mistle Toe is a sweet girl that loves attention! She loves to play with the teaser toys here at the shelter. Mistle Toe would love to know what a forever home is all about!
