Pets of the Week: Lucy, Checkers and Blu
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelterhas lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.
CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.
Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.
Breed:Lop Eared Mix
Lucy was surrendered to the shelter because her owners could no longer give her the time and attention that she needed. She is a 4 year old, spayed, lop eared bunny. She needs someone who can regularly brush her and watch her diet. She does not mind being held and loves to play. Could Lucy be the girl for you?
Checkers is a 9-year-old, longhaired black-and-white boy who came into the shelter because his owners could no longer care for him. He’s a really nice senior fellow who needs a second chance. Can you help Checkers out?
Breed:Terrier & Boxer Mix
Preference a Home Without:Home with children and cats.
Health:Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered
Blu was surrendered to the shelter because his owner could not keep him. Blu is around a year old and is a very busy boy! He is always on the move and seems to need to have something in his mouth at all times, whether it be a toy or a ball.
Blu does have a very high chase drive with cats, so he will need a home without cats. Blu does know sit but he does have a lot of puppy behavior so he will need someone that understands that time and the patience that goes into training a puppy.
Blu can be mouthy/play-bite when he gets excited, due to this an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff. Blu is a fun loving guy that is waiting for his perfect match!
