Police investigating death of 9-year-old
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating this morning’s death of a nine-year-old Waynesboro boy.
Police were dispatched to a Cleveland Avenue home at 7:15 a.m. today for a death investigation. The child was taken to Waynesboro Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police did not release any additional information about the nature of the boy’s injuries, or release any names. Their investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
Cleveland Avenue intersects West Main Street in Waynesboro Near Potomac Street. It runs Southwest past Fairview Avenue Elementary School and becoming Marsh Road just before intersecting with Cold Springs Road.
Police did not say where on Cleveland Avenue the home where the boy lived was located.
The public is not in danger as a result of the incident, police said.
