Police Investigating Non-Credible Threat at Shippensburg University

State Police and campus police are investigating a non-credible threat made to Shippensburg University over the weekend.

According to a statement from the university, a call regarding a threat to campus was received on Sunday. An officer spoke with an individual who provided vague information that did not include accurate details for Shippensburg. The university said outside law enforcement agencies also received similar calls and responded.

Authorities determined there was no credible or immediate threat to the campus. However, additional searches were conducted, and an official campus alert was issued to explain the increased law enforcement presence.
