Chambersburg police are looking for Nadeje Jeanmary, 36, Chambersburg, on theft charges. Police said she entered into a rental agreement for two cell phones from Rent a Center and has not made any payments on the phones.

She is described as being 5’4” tall, weighing 215 pounds. With brown eyes and black hair.

Jeanmary is now wanted for Theft of Leased property.  Anyone with information on Jeanmary’s location is asked to contact the Chambersburg Police Department at (717) 264-4131

Chambersburg Barracks

Two six-year-old girls injured in a crash in Quincy Township last weekend were treated at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, according to police.

Police said the girls were in booster seats in the back of a van driven by Matthew G. Baker, 32, Waynesboro, at 2:28 p.m. Jan. 18. Baker lost control of the van as he was northbound on Tomstown Road and it hit a power pole on the driver’s side of the vehicle then hit a tree on the passenger side.

The girl’s injuries were minor, according to the police report. Baker and a one-year-old girl in a front-facing child safety seat were not injured.

McConnellsburg Barracks

A 17-year-old boy driving a 2005 GMC Sierra last weekend escaped injury and was even able to drive his truck away from the crash scene.

Police said the boy was southbound on PumpStation Road in Taylor Township at 7:11 p.m. Jan. 19 when he lost control of the truck on the ice-covered roadway and it began to rotate clockwise. The vehicle went off the shoulder of the road, hit an embankment and continued to spin as it crossed back onto the road.

The truck went off the road again, hit an agricultural fence on the left side of the road. The boy managed to get the truck back onto the roadway, then drove away without stopping, police said.

Gettysburg Barracks

PSP, Adams County, was informed this week that an inmate at Adams County Prison is wanted in Florida on a fugitive warrant.

Roger Harris, 77, of Oak Hill, Florida, is being held at Adams County jail on local charges of failure to register as a sex offender. He was scheduled for a jury trial this month on the felony charges but It appears from online court records that a plea was in the works.

Meanwhile, police said fugitive from justice charges are being prepared against him.

PSP, Gettysburg, arrested Jose Mendez-Jimenez, 29, no fixed address Friday on charges that he raped a nine-year-old boy in York Springs between January and June last year.

Police began an investigation into the allegations last year obtained a warrant for Mendez-Jimenez when the investigation indicated the allegations had substance.

Mendez-Jimenez was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Daniel S. B9F3owman, who set bail in the case at $100,000. As of Friday night, Mendez-Jimenez remained in jail, unable to post bail.

  • Unlawful Contact With Minor – Sexual Offenses (F1)
  • Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age (F3)
  • Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above (F3)
