DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 31-year-old Shippensburg man is in Cumberland County Jail, unable to post bail in an early-morning domestic violence case Thursday.
Police arrested Lance Thomas Dick after being called to the first block of North Washington Street at 4:45 a.m. Jan. 2. The 25-year-old victim was subsequently treated at a hospital for her injuries. Police said Dick cursed and head-butted the table during his arraignment before Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams Tuesday morning. He was committed to Cumberland County Prison on $50,000 bail.
His preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 6.
THEFT OF SERVICES: Shippensburg police are looking for a man who hired a cab to take him to McDonald’s on dec. 26 then didn’t pay the cab fare.
The cab driver dropped the man off in the area of the East King Street McDonalds at about 1:15 p.m.
The man exited the taxi and did not say anything, nor did he pay for the cab fare. He walked away and didn’t come back.
The only description police provided of the suspect is that he is a black male with facial hair. He was last seen walking south across E. King Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Shippensburg Police Department at (717) 532-7361.

THEFT: Chambersburg police are asking for the public’s help in solving a theft that happened Dec. 19 in the parking lot at Norland Pub.
Police were dispatched Dec. 19 to the pub at 454 Norland Ave. for a theft from a motor vehicle report. The victim told police her purse was stolen from inside her car sometime between 7 and 9 p.m. that evening.

ARRESTED: The Chambersburg Police Department arrested Jose Luis Negron-Roche, 35, Chambersburg, Thursday on an outstanding warrant. Negron-Roche is charged with second degree felony. Police allege in court documents that he passed a forged check Sept. 15, knowing the company listed on the check did not issue it to him.
He received cash from the check cashing company, police allege, knowing the check would no be honored. Chambersburg police obtained a warrant for his arrest Nov. 15.
Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns set Negron-Roche’s Bill at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in the case for Jan. 14 in Franklin County Central Court.
THEFT: Christopher Lee Sperow, 30, Greencastle, turned himself into Chambersburg police Thursday. He was wanted on a misdemeanor charge of theft of leased property and Police had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns set an unsecured bail of $2,000 In the case.
Sperow has a preliminary hearing Jan. 21.
ARRESTED: The Chambersburg Police Department arrested Christopher Allen Walton, 29, Hagerstown, Thursday on an outstanding warrant for retail theft. The warrant dates back to May 9.
Walton is in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing set for Tuesday.
