The most recent police reports include DUI crashes, assaults, retail thefts and numerous other crimes.

ARRESTED: On March 23, 2020, at 2:21 A.M.Breon Oliver, 23, was taken into custody on an active warrant. The warrant was obtained after he unlawfully gained entry into the Franklin County Courthouse construction area. During that incident, Breon operated construction equipment in the construction area.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: Chambersburg Police responded to the 900 block of Scotland Ave for a report of an intoxicated male in the area Saturday. The male, identified as Madison Armstrong, wasfound to be intoxicated while walking on the railroad tracks. Armstrong was cited for one count of public drunkenness.
ASSAULT: Chambersburg Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Whitley Drive at 9:26 p.m. March 16 for an assault. The investigation revealed Brian Joseph Katavitch, 41, assaulted the victim.
He was arrested and transported to the Franklin County Jail.
NOISE COMPLAINT: Chambersburg Police were dispatched to 12Meadow Drive for a noise complaint at 11:29 p.m. Saturday. A citation was filed against Marquita Durham, 36, for a violation of the borough noise ordinance.
NOISE COMPLAINT:Chambersburg Police responded to 146 Lincoln Way West at 1230 a.m. Saturday for a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers heard loud music and yelling coming from an apartment at that address.
As a result of numerous complaints about the noise, a resident, Kayla Diaz, was cited for the borough noise ordinance.
RETAIL THEFT: On March 16 Chambersburg Police responded to Sheetz at 1 Monticello Court for a report of a retail theft. Upon arrival Sheetz employees informed the officer that two males and one female had stolen multiple alcoholic beverages from the store. The investigation revealed that Joshua Barry, Brooklynn Gordon, and one juvenile male were the three suspects involved.
All three were charged withsummary retail thefts.
DUI CRASH: On March 16 Chambersburg Police responded to the area of Norland Ave andWalker Rd for a report of a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the driver of the at-fault vehicle, Andrew Ries, 48, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Ries was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance – high rate of alcohol.
RETAIL THEFT: On March 6, a report ofretail theftwas received from the manager of the Sheetz store located at 1 Monticello Ct.
It was reported that Andrew Richard Naugle, 40, concealed $2.99 worth of merchandise and then left the store without paying for it. Naugle was subsequently charged with misdemeanorretail theft.
LOST PROPERTY: CPD took a report of a lost property Saturday. The description of the property is a brown wallet containing a PA driver’s license, social security card and a debit card. The owner told Chambersburg police they lost their wallet on 3/7/2020 while in the 300 block ofTolbert Ave. If found, return the property to the Chambersburg Police Department.
