FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA — Area police have made several recent arrests, including DUI, hit and run, a home break-in and an assault.
Shippensburg Police Log:
Shippensburg Police Department stopped a vehicle at 209 West King Street, Shippensburg Borough for an expired inspection. The driver, Korbin Greggory Swope, was found to be driving with a suspended license. The officer asked the driver if he had anything on him and he stated he did not. The officer began to pat down the driver and was stuck by a used needle. The driver was found to be DUI and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. The officer was transported to the hospital and the driver was arrested.

On July 28, 2019, at 0328 hours, a juvenile was stopped on a bicycle for not having a front lamp and sitting in the roadway. The juvenile was found to be intoxicated. The juvenile was released to his parent.

Chambersburg police log
On 8-3-2019 officers received a report that a juvenile had been assaulted by her mother with a T-ball (baseball) bat. The juvenile sustained multiple injuries however did not require medical attention. The mother, D’Lisa Duncan, was arrested and charged with Simple Assault. Franklin County Children and Youth responded to assist with the incident.

Pennsylvania State Police
State lice arrested a Fort Loudon man July 30 as he was trying to break into a residence in the 5000 block of Path Valley Road in Metal Township. The intruder was still trying to get into the structure when police arrived, according to a police report. He was using a pry bar and hammer in his attempt to get into the occupied residence but fled when police arrived. Police said they tased him and he was taken into custody.
The intruder was identified as Chase Logan Hartman, 21. He is charged with:
