The Pennsylvania State Police Carlisle responded to a domestic-related stabbing incident on March 31, 2023, at around 8:10 a.m. The stabbing occurred in the 4100 block of Enola Rd. in Upper Frankford Township, Cumberland County. Jonathan Michael Lepperd, a 33-year-old resident of Carlisle, was identified as the perpetrator who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend at their residence and fled the scene in his vehicle.
Troopers located Lepperd within an hour and a pursuit followed, which ended when the vehicle came to a stop in the 100 block of Creek Rd. in West Pennsboro Township. Lepperd was taken into custody following a short foot chase.
Unfortunately, the victim sustained severe injuries and was airlifted from the scene to a hospital.
Creek Road was temporarily closed following the incident, but it has since been reopened as of 10:45 a.m.
As the investigation is still ongoing, charges against Lepperd will be forthcoming.
