PSAC announces 2024-25 Dixon Trophy standings through winter

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) has updated the standings for the 28th Dixon Trophy, which recognizes the top athletics program in the conference. Standings are calculated from the average score in each PSAC Championship sport sponsored by a university. The latest report includes results from seven winter sports: wrestling, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming, and men’s and women’s indoor track & field.

Shippensburg University (SU) holds an average score of 9.10 points, with its men’s indoor track & field team winning a PSAC Championship this season. The women’s indoor track & field team contributed the second-highest points for Shippensburg, totaling 16 points.

The Dixon Trophy, named after F. Eugene Dixon Jr., former chairman of the Board of Governors of the State System of Higher Education, will be awarded after the spring sports season concludes. Shippensburg has historically performed well, winning the trophy eight times and being the first to win it three consecutive times in 2003, 2004, and 2005. The winner of the 2024-25 Dixon Trophy will be announced in late May.
