PSUMA Freshman Spotlight: This Q&A will serve as a get to know you series for our Penn State Mont Alto spring freshman student-athletes.

Why did you choose to attend Mont Alto?

I chose to attend Mont Alto because it close to home. It is a small campus that fit the type of college experience that I was looking for.

If you could change one thing from your first year, what would it be and why?

One thing I would change from my first year would be to get more involved with activities or clubs around the campus.

What is your major and why?

My major is Business; I choose this because in the future I hope to own my own business of some sort. I felt this degree would be a good starting point.

What has been your favorite course at Mont Alto and why?

My favorite course so far at Mont Alto would be the freshman seminar class. It helps prepare us for what we should look forward to the rest of your first-year, while prepping and teaching you valuable lessons.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of my sport for me is to keep my head straight and never get too upset or down on myself.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

The obstacle I had to overcome was staying away from my parents and learning to do stuff by myself and independent.

What advice do you have for a prospective Mont Alto student-athlete?

The advice I give for a prospective student-athlete is to put your academics first and always communicate with your advisors.
