The Raiders lost two matches last week, one a rematch against Bloomsburg on Wednesday, and the next against Lock Haven on Saturday
The Shippensburg University men’s soccer team lost 4-2 last Wednesday in a rematch with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opponent Bloomsburg at David See Field.
The Raiders lost 2-1 on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Lock Haven.

Wednesday’s game results
Shippensburg (4-4-3, 2-4-0 PSAC East) got two goals from sophomore Seth Crabbe (Kent, England/Wrotham School), marking his first collegiate multi-goal game. In the 68th minute, senior Owen Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) sent a corner headed in by Crabbe. In the final minute, Crabbe scored again off a back-heel pass from senior Alex Petty (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro).
SU almost scored in the 73rd minute when senior Harry Kershaw (Wardle, England/Wardle Academy) was fouled in the box. Bloomsburg goalkeeper Nathan Slotnick saved the penalty kick, however.
Bloomsburg (7-5, 3-4 PSAC) scored three goals within a three-minute span of the first half. In the 25th minute, Liam Harmon scored off his first goal of the season off a pass from Anthony Schlee. In the 28th minute, Olly Whitham sent a corner on goal headed in by Schlee.
Just 14 seconds after the second goal, Mark Lee sent a pass to Alex Wilsterman who made a move and scored on a breakaway. The Huskies scored again in the 51st minute when Wilsterman backheeled a pass finished by Harmon.
There were six yellow cards handed out, two for Shippensburg and four for Bloomsburg, in this physical match.
Shots on goal were even at 8-8. SU had six corners to BU’s two.

Crabbe scores his team-leading seventh goal of the season
The Shippensburg University men’s soccer team lost 2-1 on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Lock Haven.
Shippensburg (4-5-3, 2-5-0 PSAC East) tied the game in the 79th minute when Owen Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) sent a ball off a free kick that was headed in by sophomore Seth Crabbe (Kent, England/Wrotham School). It is Crabbe’s team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Ryan Glenlast (Lancaster, Pa./Pequea Valley) made six saves to make the match close.
Lock Haven (7-2-2, 5-1-1) scored the first goal of the match in the 53rd minute when Colton Swanson sent a ball to Tom Pombor. The Eagles re-took the lead in the 83rd minute off a rebound driven in by Samuel Hershey.

Shippensburg will play again at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, when the team hosts Millersville at David See Field.
