Wilson College sports: Ravens victorious over Phoenix

The Ravens were victorious over the Wilson College men’s soccer team Tuesday in a home game marking the start of conference play for the Phoenix. The Phoenix (0-6, 0-1 CSAC), fought hard but fell to the Rosemont College Ravens (5-3-1, 1-0-1 CSAC) with a final score of 6-1.

How It Happened

Rosemont came to Chambersburg ready to play. The Ravens had a strong offensive presence in the first half, scoring three goals. Freshman Colin Castro (Chambersburg, PA, Chambersburg Area Senior) had a shot in the first half but was saved by the Rosemont keeper.  The scoring run continued for the Ravens as they scored another three goals against the Phoenix. Looking to avoid a shutout, senior Brandom Rios (Carolina, Puerto Rico, Colegio Bautista De Carolina) ripped a shot in the 83rd minute of play and squeezed a goal past the Raven’s keeper scoring the lone goal for the Phoenix.
