Recall Alert: UVIPC Baby Gates Pose Entrapment Hazard

In a significant safety alert, approximately 1,500 UVIPC baby gates have been recalled due to a serious entrapment hazard that violates federal safety regulations for gates and enclosures. These products, sold exclusively on Amazon.com by Xianshengyouli, have been identified as posing a risk to children.

The issue concerns two types of the UVIPC gates: those with a pet door and others that are adjustable. In gates featuring a pet door, there is a risk that a child’s torso could fit through the secondary opening. Similarly, the adjustable versions may allow a child’s torso to pass through the space between the gate slat and the side wall. Both scenarios present an entrapment hazard.

Customers are urged to cease using the gates immediately. For remedies, consumers should contact Xianshengyouli by email at xianshengyouli@outlook.com. The company will provide instructions on how to safely dispose of the gate and require proof of destruction before issuing a full refund. Xianshengyouli, in collaboration with Amazon, is also directly reaching out to all known purchasers to inform them of the recall.

For more information or assistance, consumers can contact Xianshengyouli directly by phone at (626) 529-6048 or via the previously mentioned email.
