Remember “9/11” 20th anniversary service

To anyone younger than the age of 20, the memory of the tragedy of September 11, 2001 may seem surreal. However, for those of us that experienced it first hand, it remains one of those historic days etched in your memory for all the wrong reasons.  tragedy,

America rallied in the days and years thereafter; and it is important that we continue to recognize the sacrifice so many people made during that time.     

The “9/11” Memorial and Veterans Park Committee members are committed to helping the citizens of today to “not forget” the lives that were lost that day, and the lives of our veterans who gave their lives over the years to safeguard our freedoms.

We hope that you and your family and friends will join us on

September 12th 2021 at 1:30 PM

Remember “9/11”.  Former Governor of PA, Mark Schweiker will be our guest speaker.

 Activities for the afternoon will include:

  • Tour the historic Letterkenny Chapel
  • Walk the Veteran Trail
  • Enjoy the patriotic 13 Flag Display
  • Learn from the electronic Trail of History
  • Reflect on the “9/11” Sculpture crafted from steel from the World Trade Center

Please join us as we pay our respects to those who lost their lives on “9/11/2001” and to our veterans who paid the price through the years to protect our freedoms.
