Reott received 2021 scholar award
Shippensburg University senior Mari Reott received the 2021 PSAC Women’s Swimming Champion Scholar award from PSAC Associate Commissioner Carlin Chesick.
Reott (Butler, Pa./Slippery Rock) became the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champion Scholar for women’s swimming on Saturday night at the Graham Aquatic Center. It marks the third consecutive year that a Raider has claimed the prestigious league honor.
Reott, a finance major seeking a minor in economics, maintains a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) through 117 completed credits.
Reott is the sixth Raider spanning all sports to be named a PSAC Champion Scholar. Gracee Tothero was the PSAC Champion Scholar for women’s swimming in 2020 and 2019.
NCAA’s Elite 90 award is the model for PSAC Champion Scholar Awards. They honor the student-athlete with the top GPA who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC’s 23 team championship finals.
The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards. Those honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
