Obituary: Richard J Alfaro 1951~2021
Richard J Alfaro, 69, a resident of Michaux Manor Assisted Living Center, Fayetteville, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Saturday morning, January 9, 2021, in the assisted living center.
Born February 2, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Armado and Dorothy (White) Alfaro.
Mr. Alfaro was a graduate of Lafayette High School, Lexington, KY, with the Class of 1971.
Mr. Alfaro also attended various colleges while moving around often.
He retired from the United States Army in 1992. After his retirement he was also employed for five years with the Kentucky State Police.
Mr. Alfaro was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro and former member of the Frankfort Optimist Club, Frankfort, KY.
He is survived by two children, John Alfaro of Sterling, VA and Nicole Weagley of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Chance Renner of Hagerstown, MD and Beckett Weagley of Waynesboro; two sisters, Denise Alfaro of Frankfort, KY and Ruth Ann Plumber of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charmaine Colemorgen-Alfaro.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
