Rite Aid Customers Must Use Gift Cards and Rewards by June 6

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is advising consumers to redeem Rite Aid gift cards, coupons, and rewards by June 6, 2025, following the company’s recent bankruptcy filing.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, Rite Aid will no longer accept gift cards, rewards points, or bonus cash after June 6. Additionally, all returns and exchanges must be completed by June 4.

The notice comes after New Rite Aid, LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey on May 5, 2025. The court set the June deadline for redeeming Rite Aid gift cards in-store or online. After that date, all remaining balances will be void.

Consumers are reminded that all returns remain subject to Rite Aid’s existing refund and exchange policy.

Customers encountering difficulties with redemptions or returns are encouraged to contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection by filing a complaint online or by calling the Consumer Protection Hotline at 1-800-441-2555.
