Bob was a father, husband, grandfather, friend to many and much more.

He was born November 18, 1942, the son of Edwin James Pyle, Sr. and Marietta (Webb).  Bob graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn in 1961.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam era.  In his working life Bob worked at AT&T starting in 1967 and worked there until his retirement. He was also a lifelong and active member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows which he joined in 1967.

Bob was an active guy who enjoyed spending time outdoors (usually while chewing on a cigar) whether it was clearing brush out of a fence row, hunting, walking or riding around his property on the Gator.  He was also an avid golfer.  Bob was a kind and friendly man who enjoyed helping people.  He rarely sat still for long.  He liked to fix things and he seemed to always be helping someone with a project.

He attended church regularly at Wells Valley Presbyterian Church in Wells Tannery.

Together Bob and wife Florence hosted many gatherings at their home in Waterfall, garden clubs, family dinners and card nights.  Bob loved his home and enjoyed sharing it with others.

Bob and Florence traveled together extensively in the U.S. and also visited Panama and Belize.  A favorite trip was one to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge where they rafted to the Arctic Ocean and did a lot of backpacking.

Bob is survived by his wife of 25 years, Florence (Mosebey) Pyle, his son Brian K. Pyle (wife Jill), his step-children Phyllis Grove, Carlton (wife Sharon) Grove, and Laura Lee (husband John), and five grandchildren who he loved dearly; Jocelyn Noelle Pyle, Halle Brianne Pyle, Lyle Mosebey Grove, Cole Carlton Grove, Gunnar McClain Grove, and a sister Marietta Avrus.
