Rodney Coolidge Kew, age 96 of Shippensburg, passed away January 11, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born February 5, 1925 in Waitsfield, VT, a son of the late Franklin G. and May Bell (Shepard) Kew.

Rodney was the manager for Parkside Country Side Village, a US Marine Corp veteran, having served in WWII, a member of the American Legion Post 223 in Shippensburg, the AMVETS, Marine Corp League Club and the Chambersburg VFW. He enjoyed football, bowling and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patsy (Lehman) Kew of Shippensburg; children; Jacqueline Piper and husband, Jeff of Shippensburg, Kelly Sue Rubeck of Chambersburg, Robin Love Hotchkiss of Chambersburg and Victor Kew and wife, Stephanie of Willow Hill. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Rodney was preceded in death by his brothers, Wentworth Kew and Randall Kew and sister, Phyllis Kew.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg.

At Rodney’s request, there will be no viewing or services.

He will be laid to rest at Parklawns Memorial Gardens
