Roger Wilson Stoy, “Rog,” 73, of Fort Loudon, PA, passed on August 23, 2026 in the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tina M. (Hartman) Stoy.
Rog was born August 25, 1952, in Wilmington, NC, his father being stationed at Camp Lejeune, he was a son of Phyllis (Barron) Stoy, who survives of Fort Loudon and the late Kenneth A. Stoy.
He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1970 and continued his education at the former Lear-Siegler Computer Training School in Maryland.
Mr. Stoy was a manager with a career of 27 years at Grove Mfg., now Manitowoc, in Shady Grove. He then was affiliated with several contractors serving Letterkenny Army Depot. Most recently he was a driver for The Nutrition Group delivering to several county run community centers.
Rog was an avid hunter. Whitetail deer hunting brought him much joy over the years traveling to the western states and others. In 1989 the 3 Points Hunting Club was established on top of the Fannettsburg Mountain and he served as president. His family also recalls his remarkable sense of humor and his dedication as a Pittsburgh sports fan.
Surviving with his wife and mother is his son, Derek J. Stoy (Amy Hershey) of Fort Loudon and a grandson, Hunter M. Stoy of York Springs, PA. Also surviving is a brother, Rick Stoy (Janice) of Chambersburg and a sister, Rhonda Eckenrode (Linn) of Amberson, PA. Additional survivors include his brother-in-law, John Hartman (Barb) of Fort Loudon and sister-in-law, Jan Wilson of Woodbine, Maryland and many friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Beverly Stoy and his buddy, Maggie.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, from 12 Noon followed by his memorial service at 1 p.m. in Carrick Community Church, 7003 Path Valley Road, Fort Loudon, PA with Sarah Sollenberger officiating.
