Route 997 to Close Nov. 13–16 for Railroad Crossing Replacement

A section of Route 997 (Cumberland Highway) in Greene Township will close while a contractor replaces the railroad crossing north of Chambersburg, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Weather permitting, the closure will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, and continue through 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. The crossing is between Route 433 and Route 11 in Franklin County.

Drivers will be detoured via Route 433 and Route 11. Traffic conditions are available by calling 511 or visiting 511PA.com.
