Mrs. Sally Lee Berklite (Warren), 84, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Saturday evening, October 1, 2022, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born February 2, 1938 in Shippensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Hulda (Cressler) Warren.

Mrs. Berklite graduated from Shippensburg High School with the Class of 1956. On September 2, 1959, she graduated from the Washington County School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.

She and her husband, the late Richard J. Berklite, were married on October 20, 1962 in Shippensburg, PA. Mr. Berklite died on February 22, 2020.

Following her graduation from nursing school, Mrs. Berklite worked in the labor and delivery department at the Washington County Hospital for several years. She later became a homemaker and stay at home wife and mother for her family.

She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rouzerville, PA where over the years she served in many roles, including serving on the church council, teaching Sunday School, and was the treasurer for the church for many years.

Mrs. Berklite enjoyed genealogy, scrapbooking, crafts, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two children, Mary Hall (Gary) of Littlestown, PA and Brian Berklite (Angie Peck) of St. Thomas, PA; 4 grandchildren, Jarrett Hall, Erin Buck, Alyson Ruff and Mallory Peck; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Bitner (Ira) of Abbottstown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12043 Old Route 16, Waynesboro with Vicar James Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Friday morning, in the church.

Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements.
