The Shippensburg University women’s swimming team finished up a two-day weekend tri-meet against West Chester and host Southern Connecticut State on Saturday from New Haven.

Senior Gracee Tothero had the highest place-finish of the day for the Raiders, delivering a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.16. The effort was one of two on the day for Shippensburg that satisfied the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying standard.

Sophomore Tomomi Nakano notched another PSAC cut by completing the 200-yard backstroke in 2:14.64. Nakano, freshman Brenna White, sophomore Camryn Vila and sophomore Madison Breiner combined for the fastest of SU’s 200-yard medley relays on the day, completing their swim in 1:59.18.

Shippensburg returns to action at 5 p.m. Friday with a Homecoming tri-meet against Cal U and Fairmont State from Donald N. Miller Pool.
