Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) delivered his first address on the U.S. Senate floor, outlining his priorities and vision for representing Pennsylvania.

In his speech, McCormick emphasized a commitment to bold action, public-private partnerships, and leadership aimed at delivering results for Pennsylvanians. He stated that he intends to serve not only through legislative efforts but also by using his platform to promote meaningful change beyond the Senate chamber.

The speech follows the inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit held last week, during which over $90 billion in investments were announced. These investments include funding for data centers, energy and power infrastructure, and workforce and AI training initiatives in Pennsylvania.

McCormick highlighted the summit as a model for progress, describing it as an example of bipartisan, innovative leadership and collaboration between public and private sectors. He stressed the importance of moving with urgency to address challenges facing working families.

McCormick’s remarks lasted approximately 15 minutes and adhered to the Senate tradition of allowing a waiting period before a newly elected member delivers their first speech.
