Severe Storm Could Be on Its Way

The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a severe thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Franklin County until 4:15 p.m.

According to NWS, radar indicated a severe thunderstorm near Greencastle is moving northeast at around 3:39 p.m., bringing with it winds gusting up to 60 miles an hour with possible half dollar sized hail.

Forecasters said both hail and wind damage are possible as the storm moves through the county.

It could spawn tornadoes. Residents are advised to stay inside and away from windows.

Franklin County Schedules Mosquito Spray For Hamilton Township

Residential and recreational areas in Hamilton Township will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes beginning around sunset on Sept. 8.  Areas to be sprayed include but are not limited to: Sollenberger Road, Johnson Road, Leedy Drive, Holly Lane, Hamilton
