Mrs. Shawna L Corun (Stackpole), 52, of Greencastle, PA, and formerly of Ijamsville, MD, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023, in her home.

Born October 25, 1970, in Silver Spring, MD, she was the daughter of. Arthur B. (Art) and Linda (Grover) Stackpole, of Augusta, Georgia.
She graduated from Linganore High School with the class of 1988.
She married Richard “Rick” Corun, on May 2nd, 1992, in a small church in Harrisville, WV.
Shawna was the office manager at Custom Machine, Hagerstown, MD for over three years. Prior to that, she worked at Mason Dixon BBQ Services for many years, where she formed many lasting friendships.
In her spare time, Shawna enjoyed caring for and raising her ever-growing flock of chickens, going to BBQ competitions as a certified judge for the Kansas City Barbeque Society, and spending lazy rainy days treasure-hunting at antique shops. Shawna also had a fondness for flowers, especially for her Heirloom Irises which have been passed down for generations.
Shawna’s unconditional love and unwavering support were evident in every aspect of her life. She treated people with kindness, compassion, and respect, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she is survived by her son, Wade Richard Corun, of East Earl, PA, her brother, Bryon Stackpole, and his wife, Lori of Mason, OH, her sister, Stacy Moore, and her husband, Keith of Gilbert, SC, her mother-in-law, Suellyn K. Corun of Waynesboro, PA, and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as lifelong friend Timothy Englar of Mount Airy, MD.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Wayne Hall officiating.
Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD, will be private, at the convenience of the family.
