SHIP Softball voted second in 2026 PSAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The Shippensburg University softball team was voted second in the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released Wednesday by the league office.

The poll is voted on by the conference’s head coaches.

The preseason ranking is Shippensburg’s highest since 2023, when the Raiders were selected first in the poll. It also marks the first time since 2015 that the program has been voted second in the preseason.

Shippensburg finished last season with a 36-22 record and won the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region title, earning the program’s third appearance in the NCAA Championships. The Raiders return 17 players from last year’s roster and add seven newcomers for the 2026 season.

Shippensburg is scheduled to open the season on Saturday, Feb. 28, against Catawba in North Carolina.
