SHIP U. Baseball’s J.T. Weaver named PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week

Shippensburg University’s J.T. Weaver, a junior, was recognized as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This announcement came on Monday from the conference office.

In a game against the then No. 4-ranked Catawba on February 8, Weaver contributed to a 14-8 victory for the Raiders. In his season’s first start, Weaver, a right-handed pitcher, allowed only one earned run and gave up five hits over five innings. His performance included retiring 10 of 11 batters between the second and fifth innings, aiding the Raiders in establishing an 8-1 lead. Weaver also recorded two strikeouts.

This marks the first PSAC weekly award for the Raiders this season and the second of Weaver’s career, following a previous honor on April 22, 2024.
