Marina Cote, a senior studying Management Information Systems at Shippensburg University, has completed a summer internship at LaunchUX in Chambersburg.
Cote is a Shippensburg University Women’s swim team member and has had several mentions in SU athletic posts on the Free Press. She has scored for the team in 1650-yard competitions.
In addition to her athletic and academic accomplishments, Cote is also involved in the Woman Business Leaders club. Last year she served as Treasurer and this year she is stepping up to the plate as the club’s new president.
LaunchUX a website development and search engine optimization firm, strongly focuses on data analytics and user behavior. Both aspects provide practical applications to Cote’s undergraduate pursuits. This summer, she took part in a hands-on internship program that also provided her with university credits. She is one of many students who have gone through LaunchUX’s internship program over the last five years, including Brendan Martyn, who received a position after graduating in May of this year.
Cote said, “Since working at LaunchUX I have learned a lot about building websites and an out of classroom point of view of how businesses are run. I am looking forward to continuing working and growing with our great team this fall.”
Marina is going to continue her employment at LaunchUX throughout her senior year and work to expand into broader areas of data analytics and algorithms for search optimization.
