Shippensburg University men’s basketball head coach Chris Fite has announced the recruitment of seven new players for the 2024-25 season, including four freshmen and three transfers. These players hail from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the United Kingdom.
The transfer players are Michael Dickson, joining from Mansfield University, and Gabriel Romero-Sanz, coming from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Both were part of other teams within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Freshman recruits include Jalen Bowie, Michael Dickson, David Dorsey, Braelin Hardy, Max McFarland, and Jaydon Smith. Bowie and Dickson have experience playing at community colleges, while Dorsey, Hardy, McFarland, and Smith are moving directly from high school.
The recruits have diverse backgrounds in sports and academics, with many having excelled in high school basketball and other activities, including club level competitions and achieving academic honors.
